There were 18 countries participating in this competition and our very own young Navi Mumbai martial artists representing India bought home a Gold, Silver and Bronze medal in different categories. Under the guidance of the Jalnawala Sports and Research Training Centre’s able coach Nilesh Jalnawala, five students of the academy went to Korea to show their talent and brought laurels to the city. Meet Prajot Pednekar, a student of the academy who studies in St. Augustine High School. He started learning this sport just four years back and has come back with a gold and silver medal. Shruti Jadhav, a student of St Xaviers high School was motivated by her parents to take up martial arts but today she has developed a passion for it. Vishak Vinod a student of DAV Public School, started learning this sport seven years back and has come back with a bronze medal. For Chinar Deshpande, a student of Ft Agnels and the most experienced player with 7.5 years, says that he completely enjoys the sport. He has won a bronze and silver medal. Nidhi Nair, a student fo DPS school and another star player of the JSRTC contributes her success to her coach, parents and peers. A common factor amongst all these achievers is that they are students of Jalnawala Sports and Research Training Centre.
