In the wake of upcoming state assembly elections and before the implementation of code of conduct, several public welfare decisions have been taken at the final cabinet meeting. This also includes decisions for the welfare of the minor communities. Before the election code of conduct, Congress-NCP seems to be holding sprees of bhoomipujans and inaugurations and making immediate decisions. In the recent cabinet meeting several welfare and developmental plans were approved by the cabinet. To attract votes from the most important minor communities, various welfare plans have been formulated and approved by the cabinet. State Minister for Minority Anees Ahmed gave more information on the decisions. He also informed about the decision of restricting the sale of WAKF board plot. He further added that improvements would be made in the education of minority communities. The state Government has also decided to waive off the loan taken for Maulana Azad Vikas Mandal. While the decision taken by the state cabinet has been significant, it would be a wait and watch to see if these decisions do take form in the future.
