The contractor for the construction of the proposed Chhatrapati Shivaji Memorial in the Arabian Sea at a cost of Rs 84 crore has been finalized by the state. A consortium of M/s Egis India Consulting Engineers Pvt Ltd and Design Associates has been appointed as the PMC. The consultants will finalize the concept design, float tenders and oversee implementation of the project.
An agreement will be signed with the consortium within a week, said member of legislative council Vinayak Methe, chairperson of the Oversee committee. The consultant was finalized at a meeting headed by chief minister Devendra Fadnavis on Wednesday.
The consultant was selected from among four contestants.
