State to present Social Boycott Bill in March sessions

The Maharashtra state cabinet approved the Prohibition of Social Boycott Bill. The act conforms to those who are found guilty f practising social boycott of people or their family members will be imprisoned for three years or fined Rs 1 lakh. In some cases both punishments may apply.

The bill will be tabled in the state budget session to be held on 9 March. Chief minister Devendra Fadnavis tweeted on the draft legislation.
