State’s first digital library was inaugurated at the hands of chief minister Ashok Chavan at Andheri-Ghatkopar link road. During this event Minister Gurudas Kamath and state minister Suresh Shetty were also present. The three-storyed digital library established by the Government is built on 364 square feet area. The library comprises of books based on several subjects for children and senior citizens. Chief minister Ashok Chavan praised the concept of digital library. Central Information and Broadcasting Minister Gurudas Kamath gave us more insight. The three storyed library contains 50 LCD computers and 15000 books on various subjects. The library is free cost for public and its is that it contains the records of supreme court and High court from the year 1950 till date and reports of law commission, books useful for competitive exams.
