The Thane Collector’s office called for a press conference to announce the final list of voters and give an insight on the constituencies coming under its office. Manoj Singh joins us from Thane with this report. A press conference was called at the Thane Collector’s Office to give information to the media on the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in this region. Post delimitation, there are four parliamentary constituencies in Thane region that will go for voting on April 30 and the counting would be on May 16. The Thane Collector informed the media that so far their office has received 27 applications from 4 constituencies. He informed the media that so far 8 cases of violations of election code of conduct have been registered with his office. He said that from Thane they have received 17 applications, 6 from Palghar, 3 from Kalyan and 1 from Bhiwandi. 8 returning officers have been deputed for the election work in these constituencies along with activating 24 helpline numbers beginning from 1290.
