THANE GIRL TO REPRESENT MAHARASHTRA STATE

apurva-1City students’ girls have been selected to travel across the nation to meet women in different strata of life and highlight the problems and issues faced by them. The girls were selected during a competition held by the University of California and Dukes University. Apurva Shaligram of Ruparel college is studying her final year BA course. She has also completed her course of Photography from National School of Photography. Apurva is one of the girls selected in the competition organized by the University of California and Dukes University under the project Women Video Blogging for Empowerment project. Apurva has been selected as a citizen journalist who along with the other girls would travel to Goa for training. Post the training the girls would be sent on a nine month tour to various cities to know the problems of women. Apurva will be representing Maharashtra state. From Thane Manoj Singh for NMTV News.
