The Minister in his trademark aggressive style attacked opponents and advised his party workers to continue walking as tall elephants, reports Monika Bhosale. It was a moment of rejoice and celebration as Thane Guardian Minister Ganesh Naik performed the bhumipujan ceremony of the beautification work of the heritage pond at Belapur village. The work on the Amruteshwar pond has been started due to the efforts of the local NCP Corporator Dinanath Patil. More so as there always has been politics involved in the work time and again but at last the corporator overcame several obstacles to get the work started. Perhaps that’s why there was a huge turn out of villagers for the ceremony. The other important public work that also will begin with ceremony includes a fish and vegetables market, interlock for entire village pavements and footpaths repair work. Thane Guardian Minister Ganesh Naik felicitated his party corporator Dinanath Patil for the work he has done. The corporator Dinanath Patil addressed the voters and appealed to them to not get carried away with the lures and words of the opponents. When the Thane Guardian Minister Ganesh Naik came for his address, he too didn’t miss the chance to hit at the opponents. Again in his aggressive style that one can see off late, the Minister advised his party workers to walk like elephants even as the opponents barked. He voiced confidence that come what may, the NCP would retain the Belapur seat. He promised villagers at Belapur village of all the amenities and facilities they deserve including SRA Scheme for the slums. Speaking to the media, Thane Guardian Minister Ganesh Naik said that he was satisfied with the performance report card of his corporator Dinanath Patil. The corporator gave an insight on the beatification work of the pond. He accused his opponents of misleading villagers. With the track record of public work on Dinanath Patil’s progress card, the NCP definitely seems to have an edge over the other parties in Belapur village.
