The Thane Police has joined hands with Nasscom and DSCI to organize Cyber Security Thane 2010 – a campaign in Thane that will be held between November 18 to 20th. DGP D G Sivanandan is expected to inaugurate the campaign reports Manoj Singh. In order to create awareness about cyber crime and arrest the increasing number of cases of this form of crime, the Thane Police has planned to organize a campaign that will be called “Cyber Security Thane 2010”. The three day campaign will be held from November 18 to November 20. The inaugural ceremony is expected to be done at the hands of DGP D Sivanandan and be concluding ceremony will be done at the hands of Home Minister R R Patil. He added that they are also planning to make laptops available for Thane police personnel. The Thane Police has also planned to send a proposal to the state for bringing in experts and IT professionals to train their men.
