THANE STUDENTS BRING LAUREL TO THE CITY – WIN UPSC EXAM

upscSix students from Thane district have brought laurels to the city by successfully completing the UPSC exams. Pooja Tillu, Sayyam Joshi, Sarika Saha, Rohan Samant, Shailendra Mishra, Omkar Marathe have successfully passed the UPSC examinations all of whom are residents of Thane. Working as a development officer LIC, Dr Shailendra Mishra has got 181 rank in the National list. He had chosen subjects like geography and civics for the exams. After learning about his success a huge crowd of Thane citizens along with the dignitaries gathered at his residence. All the six students were later felicitated at the Thane collector office. The UPSC exam is the passport to a range of 27 government services, including the Indian Administrative Service, the Indian Police Service, the Indian Foreign Service and the Indian Revenue Service.
