THE 150 YEARS OLD BHAU DAJI LAD MUSEUM WITH A NEW LOOK NOW OPEN FOR PUBLIC

bhau-daji-lad-museum-1After waiting for over a year for the President or the Prime Minister to visit the city for the inauguration of the newly restored Bhau Daji Lad museum, Shiv Sena Executive President Uddhav Thackeray opened the museum. Bhau Daji Lad Museum is finally open for public after Sena Executive President Uddhav Thackeray inaugurated the museum in Mumbai. However, a controversy erupted when the opposition members of the NCP party raised slogans against Sena for giving the renovation work to a private party – the Jamnalal Bajaj Trust and mooting its privatization. The police had to step in to stop the clashes between the Sena and NCP party workers during the inauguration ceremony. After performing the inauguration in a tense atmosphere, Sena Executive President Uddhav Thackeray spoke to the media. He however refuted allegations of the opposition that blame the Sena for privatizing the project. Uddhav Thackeray and Senior BJP leader Gopinath Munde took a tour of the museum. The other dignitaries who graced the ceremony included BMC Mayor Dr. Shobha Raul and Commissioner Dr. Jairaj Pathak. With cameraperson Abhay Prasad, Rajeev Mishra for NMTV News.
