The Jungle Book beats Shah Rukh Khan’s Fan in box office collections

The box office numbers for Shah Rukh Khan’s FAN are on downward tumble on Wednesday. The Tuesday collections have brought no relief the star or Yash Raj Films.

The early estimates of box office collection say that movie collected approximately Rs 6 crores on day five. The total earning for the movie stand at about 64.40 crores in the domestic market, reports koimoi.com

Shah Rukh Khan starrer is facing a tough fight from Disney’s live-action rendition of Rudyard Kipling’s The Jungle Book. Currently in its second week, the movie is beating Maneesh Sharma’s risky venture.

Fan has failed to keep the momentum of its big opening. Targeted at a limited audience, the movie came crashing down with massive 70% drop in the collections.

The movie has set a box office record in Pakistan with a collection of over Rs 50 million in just three days. Worldwide the movie has reached Rs 100 crore mark.

Yet, the good reviews and word of mouth have failed to lift this Shah Rukh Khan outing
