There has been an argument on genetically modified food across the world. A discussion on one of these boons of science was also held in Copenhegan in Mumbai. Even though Multinational companies are in the frontward to produce genetically modified food, they failed to keep in mind the health of people consuming this food. A session was held at Tata Institute of social sciences where a two-day National session was held. Professor Julian Le Grande, from London school of Economics was present during the session where he commented on genetically modified food. He informed that this food is produced scientifically, but private institutes exercise their monopoly over its production. Prof Julian Le Grande further stated that there was a lot of mis conception over the production of genetically modified food.
