Travelers will need to pay toll for new Vasai Creek bridge

The National Highway Authority of India has started the bidding process for building a all new bridge replacing the four decades old Vasai Creek bridge on the Mumbai-Ahmedabad Highway, also known as the Varsova Creek bridge.

Th plan is to have a four lane bridge. Despite being able to complete the on cash contract basis, which would mean that the commuters would not have to pay toll for the new bridge, the authority is not doing so.

It is said that it would be going for the hybrid annuity basis of financial scheme and will now levy toll on motorists.
