The Gyaneshwar temple situated at Dadar may just come under the clutches of the land mafia as the trustee of the temple has been alleged of selling the temple. This has been alleged by the Temple Bachao Committee. The Gyaneshwar temple situated at Dadar has been in the news for sometime now. This ancient temple was built in the year 1959 and inaugurated by the then Chief Minister Yashwant Rao Chauhan. However, the Temple Bachao Committee has alleged that the trustee of the temple has sold the temple to a private builder for a mere 83 lakhs. This 20000 sq ft temple plot maybe considered as a prime location for the land mafia to gobble on as it’s situated near the Dadar Chowpatthy. The trustee of the temple however has refuted all allegations. With cameraperson Vijay Kharalkar, Ajaz Khan for NMTV News.
