US airstrikes to control ISI loses its impact as the extremists continues to spread closing in on Baghdad, Iraq

President Barack Obama’s decision of attacking the ISISI militants through airstrikes have failed drastically to show any impact as the Sunni extremists are successfully spreading up and closing in on Baghdad. Anbar town of Amriyat al-Fallujah is one of the last province that is under the control of the government. According to officials if the militants who are slowly advancing towards Anbar, succeeds in capturing Anbar, it would be the biggest blow to Iraq.
‘If Anbar falls, it’s going to have a huge impact for us and all Baghdad. This is the gate of Baghdad, if they took this area, they could mortar the airport’ as been stated by General Ali al Majidi, who is a commander with the Iraqi army 6th Division. Kiran Kidwai – International Desk, NMTV
