Tilak Education society’s Vashi English School organized a interschool drawing competition in memory of Late Smt .Sarada Kurup. Details with this report Students of Different schools of Navi Mumbai participated in the inter school drawing competition organized by Tilak Education society’s Vashi English School. The students were divided in three groups; the first group being 1st to 4th std. The second group was from 5th to 7th std who were given the topic of a scene in a mall, New year celebration and picnic. The 3rd group was from 8th to 10th std who were asked to choose among three topics Save the earth, annual sports day and a street play. After the drawing competition was over and before the prizes could be given the students entertained those present with their dance performances. From the first group the first prize was bagged by Nishanti MG from St Marys high School, second prize was bagged by Shaikh Nazeem from Tilak Public school, Nerul and third prize was awarded to Rutuja Vishwas from SBOA Public School, Nerul. From the second group the first prize was bagged by Manas Shetty of St Augustine High School Nerul. Present for the prize distribution ceremony were Tilak Education Society Vice Chairman Ajit Kurup, the Director Arun Janardhan and Smita Ajit Kurup We spoke with Tilak Education Society’s Vice Chairman Ajit Kurup who said that this was done to give the students a platform where they could show their talent. We spoke with the Principal of Vashi English School Mrs Jessy Jose who said that 18 Schools participated in the competition they were segregated in three groups and prizes were given to the winners.
