All speculations of Vijay Chougule absconding came to rest when the Shiv Sena Navi Mumbai Chief surrendered at CBD Belapur to the Navi Mumbai Police. A mob of 2000 persons gathered in the area to protest his impeding arrest. Vijay Chougule had to appeal to the Sainiks to not take law in their hands. The day long drama that started with his surrender went on to the sessions’ court where all the three cases filed against Vijay Chougule came for hearing. One case was against Vijay Chougule physically assaulting the NCP candidate and his lawyer prior to Airoli by elections while the other two cases were in regards to the violation of the election code of conduct. However Vijay Chougule was granted conditional bail informed his lawyer Adv Bandu Kashid. BYTE Sena leader Anant Tare was also present with Vijay Chougule.
