After disclosures have been made against the Air Force mortuary, for secretly incinerating
and dumping the remains of the war dead in a Virginia landfill, the leaders of a congressional
comittee who had already given orders on investigation on the military procedure of handling
remains, have stated that the inquiry would be forther broadened that would bring all the
military burial practices under scanner, over the last decade. The inquiry would be made on
Arlington National Cemetery, any other military cemetery as well as the main destination of the
nations war dead, the Dover Air Force Base.
The leaders of the congressional comittee stated that its the duty of the military to treat the victims
of the war dead and their family members with absolute respect, dignity and honour and that such kind
of disrespect would not be tolerated on any base. Kiran Kidwai – International Desk, NMTV.
