WATER CRISIS FORMS THE SINGLE BIGGEST ISSUE FOR MP CANDIDATES IN THANE CONSTITUENCY

We surveyed the expectations that Thaneites have from their parliamentary candidates and in one voice, every Thaneite we spoke to said that they want relief from their water woes making water crisis the single biggest issue for MP candidates in Thane constituency. When it comes to water woes, 2008 can easily be said as one of the most nightmarish years for citizens of Mumbai and Thane. And the nightmare has continued into 2009. No points for guessing that Thaneites want their MP to tackle their water woes and this issue is topmost on the voter’s expectations list. That’s what NMTV News, found out as we spoke to Thaneites who voiced exasperation on living a life where they are thirsty for every drop of water. And not surprisingly, the main candidates from the Thane constituency both have kept the water issue of Thane on top in their election agenda. Thane voters have heard what their candidates are promising them in order to solve the water crisis of Thane city. No matter, which candidate is elected, voters must ensure that the candidates keep their promise of tackling the single biggest issue of Thane city.
