The Commissioner’s reply to the issue irked Namdeo Bhagat who again lashed at the administration. Standing Committee Chairman reiterated the need of the hospitals before concluding the debate on the subject. The administration has presented the proposal if building a multi storeyed car parking in Vashi Sector 15 / 16. Despite traffic being such a serious issue in the city and the said proposal having several controversial aspects, none of the senior members in the Standing Committee who raise their on other subjects said a word when the proposal was presented for approval. At the end, Chairman Sandeep Naik himself spoke on the issue. He said that since the project needed a clear presentation by the administration so that members could understand the concept better so Standing Committee Sandeep Naik stayed the proposal. Standing Committee Chairman Sandeep Naik again drew the attention of the Commissioner of the gravest issue that haunts most nodes in the city today – that of digging, re-digging and re-re-digging the roads in the city without any coordination by the engineering dept. that was spelling inconvenience for locals in the city and would spell doom for them during monsoons. At the end of the meeting, Standing Committee Chairman Sandeep Naik congratulated NMMC Commissioner Vijay Nahata for diligently pursuing and getting the in-principle agreement of State Water Resources and Irrigation Minister Ajit Dada Pawar for taking possession of Morbe Dam.
