Once again with Diwali complains of noise pollution and sound pollution are coming from senior citizens and mothers with small babies. We appeal to all to check noise pollution and sound pollution when they play firecrackers this Diwali so that every section of this society can enjoy the festival in its true spirits. As we wish a happy and prosperous Diwali for all, let us extend these wishes to the physical and physiological health of all as well. Let us keep a check and ensure lower levels of air and noise pollution. The fire crackers you buy and burn should be those that do not violate decibel levels to be maintained. The Supreme Court has ordered that noise pollution should not cross 125 decibels but sale of crackers surpassing 150 decibels have been reported. Some fireworks emit a lot of smoke; let us keep away from them. You should also ensure a comfortable time for the section that needs peaceful environment like senior citizens, ailing patients, infants and animals by following the 10pm deadline. It is imperative that those playing fire crackers understand the need to check noise and air pollution. The true fun and essence of Diwali can be felt only when it is played safely and every moment only constitutes a happy memory for each members of the society and community. Bureau report – NMTV News.
