BMC has announced plans of connecting the Kamala Nehru park to Sir Ferozeshah Mehta park also known as hanging gardens at Malabar Hill via a footover bridge. The bridge that is expected to be completed by the year’s end has been welcomed by the citizens. Suspended over Malabar Hills, the Kamla Nehru Park and Sir Ferozeshah Mehta Park presents a picturesque vista of the dazzling city – Mumbai. The main attraction of the gardens is that it offers a lovely view of the sunset across the horizon of the Arabian Sea and many tourists visit this site. However since a road intersects both the gardens it becomes very difficult for the children and elders to cross and many accidents have also occurred here. Following the complaints of the residents, BMC has decided to built a footover bridge to connect the two gardens, agreeing it to be more beneficial and safe. We spoke to some visitors who welcomed the decision of BMC.The bridge is expected to be completed by the end of the year. With cameraperson Rajendra Prasad, Ajaz Khan for NMTV News.
