WORLD BANK REPORT RUFFLES FEATHERS

world-bank-1The World Bank has released a report on massive misuse of funds given for creating awareness on AIDS. While this is reflecting poorly on the state’s image, it has sent shock waves in several municipal corporations including the BMC reports Rajeev Mishra. The said World Bank report has expressed disappointment against the massive misuse of funds given for creating awareness on AIDS. The report says that the state has deployed individuals and NGOs with little credibility to do the job. The blame has also been tossed on several municipal corporations. Evidently when the subject came up in the weekly press conference of the Municipal Commissioner Dr. Jairaj Pathak, the BMC administration gave a clarification on the issue. The clarification came soon after the print had published the World Bank report that has shames the functioning of the government organizations. While the BMC is going all the way to wipe the blames tossed on it, the issue once again brings to light the allegations of massive misuse of funds given by World Bank for public welfare schemes by government officials in nexus with private organizations. From BMC, with cameraperson Abhay Prasad, Rajeev Mishra for NMTV News.
