YOUNG BASKETBALL PLAYERS ROCK THE NATIONAL BASKETBALL CHAMPIONSHIP AT FR. AGNELS

Junior boys and girls were at their best showing their talent to the jam packed audience at the Fr. Agnels basketball court. The city became witness to one of the much awaited national level basketball championship for junior boys and girls. Students from across the nation have come down in huge numbers to Fr. Agnels to participate in this national level championship. Teams from states like Madhya Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Punjab, Haryana, Maharashtra and many more rocked the basketball court with sheer enthusiasm and the zeal to win. Team Maharashtra was pitted against Meghalaya where Maharahstra scored an easy 88 against Meghalaya’s 20. The winning shared their feeling with us. Another easy win was see with Punjab and Tamil Nadu girls team where the Tamil Nadu girls beat the Punjab team by scoring 71 as against to the latter’s 31. The Director of Fr. Agnels Fr. Almeida said that it was a proud feeling that a national level game was being hosted in Navi Mumbai. He added that the school was trying to give the best of both to the students be it academics or sports. Even the students of other states gave thumps up to the facilities given by the host school Fr. Agnels and were all praises of the state-of-the-art basketball court. The matches are pulling a lot of crowd and some even from abroad to see the talent of these young players. Looking at the amazing number of teams participating in the National Basketball Championship, the coming few days is expected to turn out to be one of the best learning experiences for lovers of the game.
